Question: It would have been sometime between 1958 and 1961 that I was with my grandmother (Nellie Evans) who was visiting her friend (and fellow teacher) Dorothy Leeka (in Thurman?). I was bored and poked around in an empty house next door. Inside I found a Greek pillar and other antiquities including a few mummified Egyptian cats. I did not imagine this! Does anyone know anything about Greek/Egyptian antiquities temporarily stored in an empty house in Fremont County? I later years I have learned that MANY 2nd and 3rd class antiquities are for sale. I know a man in Boonesboro, Md who has purchased many icons, small animal mummies, etc.
