Question Regarding Velocity. Howdy all. I dont have access to a chronograph right now so Im putting this to you all for your opinion. My loading manual says I should be getting 2970 fps if I load 50 grains of a certain powder. My barrel is the same length as the test barrel. While I realize that there will be some difference I estimated, by measuring bullet drop at various distance, that I was getting 2950 fps. By extrapolating the data Ive come to 2940 fps. So now begs the question. How close to the printed velocity do you find your loads to be when using the published charge weight?
