Question: There is still so much debate about citizen and police encounters. For the military, border patrol, law enforcement officers, anyone who has to carry a gun as a part of their job, or anyone who has knowledge/education/experience with this type of thing... When is it okay for you do draw your weapon, point it at someone, and potentially fire it? I keep getting into heated debates with sympathizers to the people who directly disobey a direct command by an officer/military/border patrol agent and have a gun pointed at them. This Ferguson thing is one topic and another is of a van stopped at border patrol and the van was being searched -- the occupants were told to exit and keep their hands in view -- and one of the guys went back into the van and started going through his bag, resulting in a sidearm being pointed at him (which according to the sympathizer ruined his life and probably caused him ptsd mmhmmmmm...
