Question for all of the parents, teachers, youth, and anyone else out there who wants to weigh in on the topic for me: If a young person does something wrong, (acts crazy at school, steals, lies, cheats, and any other behavior that would be considered unacceptable or unpreferrable that you would like to imagine in order to consider this question for me) is it ok to assign them a writing task or writing tasks to complete during their time served? If you do not think that it is ok would you please explain why and also give me some suggestions as to what you think a more effective consequence might be or how you deal with these things? I will tell you more later as to why I’m asking the question and what initially ever made me think twice about this later on but for now I would just like to hear some feedback. Thank you in advance for anyone who responds.
