Question for any techy people out there: My hard drive was on its - TopicsExpress

Question for any techy people out there: My hard drive was on its way out a few weeks ago & my profile became corrupted on my computer & so i have been using the administrator profile temporarily, only problem is that ITunes wont recognize my CD burner on this profile so i cant burn anything. My computer still recognizes its there & when i run a diagnostic on ITunes it still says that its there but when i try & burn anything it says NO CD BURNER RECOGNIZED. I have spent an hour or so scouring google for help but have been drawing a blank, anybody out there know if its anything simple im not thinking of?
