Question for someone with knowledge and who can understand my terrible description. Im running 2 re se12d4 subs... from what I can find they are 600 watt rms. Pushing them with a soundstream tarantula 2000 watt mono block amp. Now I bought this used. They way it was hooked up is like this...... The subs are wired together inside the box and 2 sets of speaker wires are running from the amp to the subs. The 4 leads at the amp are hooked to both sides... 1 in left pos 1 in left neg one on right pos one in right neg... at the speaker box both negs are twisted together going into the box neg and same for the pos..... I tried hooking up the amp so both negs and both pos were hooked to bridged and I beleive that is 1 ohm... but I felt it sounded strange. So I switched it back. Is the way its hooked up the best way? Im not sure why both speakers are hooked together but maybe there is a reason. Here is the info I found on the amp RMS Power @ 4 ohms750 watts x 1 channels RMS Power @ 2 ohms1300 watts x 1 channels RMS Power @ 1 ohm2000 watts x 1 channels Power Specifications - Subwoofer Channel RMS Power @ 4 ohms RMS Power @ 2 ohms RMS Power @ 1 ohm Peak Power Output Amplifier Specifications Amplifier Series Amplifier ClassD Number of Channels1 - Mono Total RMS Power Output2000 watts Maximum Input Gauge Size4 AWG Minimum Impedance Unbridged1 ohms Minimum Impedance BridgedNot Bridgeable THD at Rated RMS Power85 dB Bass Boost0, 6, 12 dB Bass/Gain RemoteYes Fan CooledNo Fuse Rating200A x 1 Any help is appreciated.
