Question we received recently: Hi! I had a quick question regarding Butter Coffee. I have been debating trying it and I wanted to know if you use it as a meal replacement or just as an addition to breakfast. What do you guys think? Do you drink Butter Coffee WITH your breakfast or AS your breakfast? If youre unsure or have been wondering the same thing, here are some pointers I would suggest: - Try it in the morning on an empty stomach first to gauge how it makes you feel. - If youre NOT trying to lose weight, feel free to have it WITH breakfast. Or if youre not a breakfast person, Butter Coffee is a good way to integrate some nutrition into your morning when you dont feel like eating. - If you ARE trying to lose weight, Id REPLACE breakfast with Butter Coffee for a week and get a feel for what it does for you. - You should experience satiety and suppressed appetite, you probably wont feel hungry for hours. If you DO start to feel hungry - start trying it with a little added protein powder (we use grass-fed collagen or grass-fed whey). - Id start with that and then listen to your body! If you DO decide to start drinking Butter Coffee with breakfast (and youre trying to lose weight), Id keep it pretty low carb. A meal high in carbohydrates or sugar in conjunction with Butter Coffee could counteract its effects. Our almond flour-crusted quiche is a good option! Heres a write-up on Picnik Austin Butter Coffee that goes into deeper detail if youre looking for more info: goo.gl/YQnUCg In our experience, some people have found that Butter Coffee works best for them as a meal replacement. Others feel best when they eat something to break their fast in the morning, and Butter Coffee makes a delicious accompaniment to their morning meal. Which category do you fall under?
