Questioning on the Day of Resurrection The Messenger of Allah - TopicsExpress

Questioning on the Day of Resurrection The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “The first question that a person will be asked about the delights (of this world) on the Day of Resurrection will be: ‘Did We not give you good health? Did We not give you cool water to drink?’” [At-Tirmidhi] Commentary: On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will question his slaves about the blessings that He granted them in this world, Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! [At-Takathur 102: 8] These delights include: good health, water to drink, food, the shade of dwellings and the joy of sleep. The delights referred to in the above aayah [At-Takathur 102: 8] are not limited to those mentioned in various interpretations (such as the examples we gave above), because the kinds of joy and delight are innumerable, Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): …And if you count the Blessings of Allah, never will you be able to count them… [Ibrahim 14: 34] Some people do not realise the great blessings that Allah has bestowed upon them. They do not appreciate the blessing of having water to drink and food to eat, or the blessing that Allah has bestowed upon them in their homes, spouses and children. They think that luxury means having palaces, gardens and fancy means of transportation. A man asked ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-’Aas (may Allah be pleased with him), “Are we not among the poor Muhaajireen (those who made migration from Meccah to Madinah)?” Abdullah repiled to him, “Don’t you have a wife to whom you return (to) at the end of the day?” He said, “Yes.” Abdullah asked, “Don’t you have a house to live in?” He said, “Yes.” Abdullah said, “Then you are one of the rich.” He said, “I have a servant.” Abdullah said, “Then you are one of the kings.” [Sahih Muslim] And Allah knows best! https://facebook/hadithaday.org
