Quick Weekend Update: 1. Summer camp session ONE is over and we had an AWESOME time! The campers, volunteers and residents were all great. We have another camp kicking off on Monday! 2. Justin has recovered from his tumor surgery and so far, so good. He seems much more comfortable, interested in visitors and eating much better. We will be anxiously awaiting a peep show when he lets us watch him pee to see how the new meds are working so keep your fingers crossed for good news! 3. Our foster girl Jewel just got her hooves trimmed. She is very unsure about anything that happens on her left, which is the side of her missing ear, but she got through her trim. We will be working with her more on that side. She has made massive improvements in her weight and the health of her coat and now her hooves so we will begin more routine training to help her add some muscle and give her new experiences. She continues to be a very sweet girl and eager to please. She still needs a sponsor!! 4. Watch for updates from our new vaulting demonstration team. A group of our volunteers has decided to tackle this new activity and their first mounted practice went great! We are so please they found a new way to showcase the abilities of our awesome resident horses! 5. We still have a few horses and ponies who needed a farrier sponsor so please contact if you can help with just $35. Donations are tax deductible!
