Quick question: I was wondering if having a La Porte County Health Department inspector be part of this group, using a public profile dedicated solely to answering your questions about health code violations (and simply sticking to the public record), would be something you are interested in? How would you feel about that as a citizen? As a restaurant worker or owner? Personally, I think getting additional information outside of the numbers on the health inspections -- like what the critical and non-critical violations of a restaurant actually were -- is good! Health inspector Lana Buckles is interested in doing this, but only if you are! Again, she would probably only respond to questions directed to her and would only answer with information available to the public. Please feel free to voice your opinion on this! We wont make that connection unless the consensus is that a majority of people would appreciate it.
