Quick question for you all. I had to go back to the business world (still going with my PhD of course). I am a headhunter. I need to hire an associate to help me and the consultant I work for. It will start as an internship (about 10 bucks/hour) for 60 or 90 days, then if all is well to a full time position. I am thinking that a spouse or recent anthro MA/PhD might be interested. There are many ways to use our training and with the situation in academia, taking atypical career turns might not be a bad idea. The business I am in pays pretty well. I am also interested in someone who retired and who wants to go back to a professional activity. My stance is that if I can help a fellow anthro person, a stay-at-home parent who took a break and wants back into the workforce (usually a career killer... I know what I am speaking about) or a more mature person, I am happy. Only conditions are to be willing to learn and be open-minded. With all of this said, a recent graduate who does not have an MA might also be a great fit. Let me know if you have anyone in mind.
