Quick story here: Back in 2008, I was fooling around on YOUTUBE when I got bit with the Jeff Porcaro bug. I had been a fan of TOTO for decades, but for some reason I got bit bad and I started really looking into the famous drummer who left us back in 1992. I came across a drummer by the name of Peter Yttergren, who had been inspired by Jeff, and considered him a hero. I clicked on the video and was HOOKED! Every groove--although inspired by Jeff--was fresh and new and sharp. I hoped with all hope that someone--anyone!--would discover Peters talent and give him the notice that he so deserved. Flash forward a couple of years and Peter is doing a few tours here and there, and I thought, Its finally happening. Yes! But no amount of blessings and prayers sent his way prepared me for this picture below. I cant tell you how happy I am for my friend that his dream has come true. He is an amazing talent and to see him on stage with legendary greats such as Bill Champlin (one of my heroes, too, Peter!) and Bobby Kimball, I have tears of joy!
