WHEN MY FAMILY AND I WERE FORCED TO LEAVE OUR CHURCH FAMILY a few years ago now, I was devastated beyond all speakable measure. The relationships that were severed, and the time invested seemed to me at the time to have gone for naught. I SINCERELY LOVED THOSE PEOPLE, but circumstances that had nothing to do with MOST OF them, would not permit us to remain. CHURCH HURT IS REAL, and stings a bit DEEPER, because it usually emanates from people who CLAIM to love God, but act contrary to their confession. After that ordeal, I now know that time does NOT heal wounds; only God can do that. He has healed us all from that situation, and has restored ALL that the enemy THOUGHT he had taken! I know that I am a better person for have endured what was tossed in OUR direction, but some lessons are harder to swallow than others. I see some of those faces now, and I only want to pray that their hearts be softened, and that reprobation leaves their minds. I have truly learned what it means to forgive. I AM NO LONGER BITTER, but I dont want to forget either; forgetting means that I didnt learn from the experience, AND that it could happen again. I INTEND ON STAYING WITH GOD, because I wanna see what the end is gonna be.......TO GOD BE ALL GLORY!
