Quiet, cold and sunny through sunset tonight which is at 7:58pm. Winds will be much lighter than yesterday but still enough to make the evening quite chilly for outdoor events/games. Temperatures will fall quickly through the 30s. Overnight clouds will thicken with some rain/snow showers developing late, especially north of the metro. Temps will dip to around 30. The next storm system pushes through during the day Wednesday into Wednesday night. Expect scattered rain & snow showers in the metro with mostly a wet snow/sleet mix in central Minnesota up toward Duluth and northwestern Wisconsin. Accumulations will generally be light in the metro with around a slushy inch or two through Wednesday night. Central portions of the state though could see 2-4 with as much as a half foot toward Duluth and over a foot on the south shore of Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin. Skies will clear out on Thursday with partly to mostly cloudy skies and a sprinkle or two. Sunshine returns on Friday with highs remaining in the 40s. It will finally warm up slowly this weekend into the 50s and even 60s early next week. Showers will push back in Saturday night and continue through Sunday morning.
