Quilt Of Valor Presentation On September 25, 2014, I meet a wonderful member of the Florida National Guard, Miguel A., who has spent one long tour in the “Sandbox” and is about to leave for yet another one. He is one of the special civilian solders who give up their personal time and lives in defense of our country. He was presented a quilt in the home of family friends, with his wife, Leticia at his side. His wife is a full time Captain with the Florida National Guard. It is a special family to have two solders who serve our nation the way they do. After the presentation we share a wonderful home cook meal and had a special time of fellowship. Each Veteran I meet and spend time with I come away with an even deeper respect for what they do or have done for the nation.
