Quite often in our profession of EMS, my fellow colleagues and I - TopicsExpress

Quite often in our profession of EMS, my fellow colleagues and I refer to our job as a thankless one with very little recognition. However, every now and then, something random happens and you receive a simple thank you and it makes you feel good about yourself and you know deep down that you helped make a difference. Today, I was approached by a man that I did not immediately recognize, but the gentleman recognized me right away. He thanked me and shook my hand for helping to save his life during the Snowmagedon Storm of 2010 when I transported him to Shock Trauma. He has had a full recovery from his injuries and returned to the same quality of life he had before. Wow! What a great feeling!
