R-Day arrangements reviewed at Anantnag ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 30: A review meeting under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Anantnag was held here today to take stock of arrangements being put in place for celebration of Republic day. The meeting was attended by all sectoral officers besides police and representatives of different security agencies. It was decided in the meeting that fool proof security arrangements will be made around the venue and along the routes leading to the venue. The celebration will begin with Shahnai Wadan in the morning. The main function will be held at Government Degree College Boys Khanabal Anantnag where the chief guest will hoist the National flag and will take salute at the march past. The Contingents of J&K Police, IRP, CRPF, Fire & Emergency, Home guard and NCC will participate in the march past. The meeting also held threadbare discussion regarding seating arrangements, barricading of venue, drinking water supply, electricity and illumination around the venue, sanitation and heating arrangements.
