R.I.P. Les White Leslie Dale White May 5, 1938 - January 20, 2014 Obituary Leslie Dale White, of Rolla, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at the age of 75. He was born on May 5, 1938 in Yancy Mills, MO to the late Thurman White and Josephine (Phelps) White. On April 4, 1959 he married Barbara (Hargis) White who preceded him in death on February 23, 2003. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Dunn. Les was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman. He was employed for 33 years as a boiler maker at the power plant for UMR now MS&T. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: two daughters, Vicky Snelson and husband Roy and Lisa Spurgin, all of Rolla; four grandchildren, Carrie Rossy and husband Brian, Julie Rainey and husband Chris, Jessica Harris and Brandon Snelson; five great grandchildren, Brittany Meckem, Erik Rainey, Abigail Rainey, Emily Rossy and Righlee Barnwell; a nephew, Mark Dunn and wife Gail and their children Keegan and Shana Dunn. A funeral service for Leslie White will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to help defray final expenses. Online condolences may be offered at this website.
