The real world cup? Thousands of Brazilians being driven from their homes because the government wants to clean neighborhoods up so they can sell the world a lie. Eleven billion Brazilian tax dollars meant for infrastructure, education, sanitation, clean water, food and health care all blown on stadiums that are monuments to greed and futility-while millions live in shacks and go hungry. FIFA makes billions and pays ZERO taxes to Brazil. They do not one damn thing for poor Brazilians. 200,000 cops and soldiers in full riot gear with snipers on roof tops (to prevent protests in the streets). I love soccer but hate what they are doing to the Brazilian people. It is horrible and it is wrong in every way. 55 have been killed by cops while protesting the corruption. The Cup organizers make billions while the little people go homeless and hungry or get beat to a pulp or killed if they raise their voices in protest. Sorry to rain on anyones world cup parade but Id rather celebrate bringing clean water to millions of kids, sanitation and decent homes, education to bright eyed beautiful children with full bellies. And if they want to have a great futbol tournament while taking care of these communities then the world cup will really mean something. Just saying....
