R O T O P ( R o u n d t a b l e s o f p r a y e r ) Men’s breakfast - Wednesday: 10th September 2014 (7.00 to 8.30) Venue: Constantia Bowling Club, next to Virgin Active Gym & tennis courts Speaker: Tiny Jones – Christian Life Camps Bay Topic: Middle East in turmoil – “What about me?” Tiny was born in 1938. As an unchurched teenager of 16, he gave his life to Christ as a result of God speaking directly into his life and calling him to repentance and to serve Him. His school years were spent at St Joseph’s in Rondebosch. He qualified as a chartered accountant, and then went on to train as a merchant banker in London. In 1985 Tiny retired as a merchant banker, and became a director of Permanent Trust for two years, followed by several years in the fishing industry in East and West Africa. After retiring he joined a Christian accounting firm where he worked for 19 years. At the end of February 2008 his planned retirement led to him accepting an assignment to restructure the administrative procedures at the ICEJ (International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem). Tiny was the Director of the SA Board for ICEJ. His portfolio was Christian Zionist education. At the age of 74, in 2012, Tiny retired from the Board. He has continued as a conference speaker, while being the interim pastor for his church. Easter time, three years ago, Tiny spoke on A revue of the death of Christ and its meaning to God our Father. Examining its necessity and the fact that God had no other plan if it did not work. His message this time will cover the reason why muslims are killing co religionists when Islam is supposed to be a religion of peace. He will also deal with the Islamic aspirations as far as Africa (including us) is concerned .Unless we do something about our own ineffective opposition to an inevitable strategy to overwhelm us and our culture. Tiny and Pat have been married since 1965, and have had four sons. For more info please phone: Robbie Tripp 021 790 - 3235 or (H) 713 - 0560 (B) Cost R30
