One BN strongman, who declined to be named, has hit out at Putrajaya over the ‘unfair treatment’. He says Sarawakians are only demanding their rights as stipulated in the Malaysia Agreement. ”We were a nation when we signed the Malaysia Agreement.. We want to be respected not threatened,” vents the BN heavyweight. An ex-counsellor Anthony Lawai Karing wants the government to prove that it cares about rural Sarawakians and is demanding that fuel subsidy be reinstated in Sarawak and that the timber road and a clinic in Ulu Baram be upgraded and a permanent doctor be based in Long San where the largest Penan community reside.
