RAM TRUCK RECALL Ram Trucks has issued two recalls for models across its light- and medium-duty lineups. Ram parent company Chrysler Group LLC is recalling certain 2013 model year Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks that are equipped with optional premium tail lamps. In some of these trucks, the turn signal indicator may not flash at a double rate, which notifies the driver of a turn signal malfunction. The affected trucks were built from Sept. 9, 2012, through March 5, 2013, Chrysler said. Chrysler said 17,400 pickups in the U.S., 11,500 in Canada, 470 in Mexico and 775 in other markets are included in the total. The manufacturer said it is unaware of any accidents, injuries or complaints related to the issue. The problem was discovered by company engineers during routine testing, Chrysler said. The recall is expected to begin in July. Separately, Chrysler is recalling 6,900 heavy-duty Ram pickup trucks due to a potential problem with the front axle, the Associated Press reported.
