RAMADANA SUPER EXCEPTIONAL MONTH === Salman (R.A) reports. On the last day of Shaaban, the messenger of Allah S.W.A addressed us and said O people, there comes upon you now a great month, a most blessed month, in which lies a night greater in worth than one thousand months. It is a month in which Allah has made it compulsory that fasting should be observed by day, and he has made the Taraweeh by night a Sunnah. Whosoever tries drawing nearer Allah by performing any of the obligatory deed in this month, for him shall be such a reward as if he had performed Fard (obligatory observance) in any other timr of the year. This is indeed the month of patience and the reward for true patiece is paradise, it is the month of sympathy for ones fellowmen, it is the month where in a true believers Rizq (provision) is increased. Whosoever feeds a fasting person in order to break the fasting at (sunset), for him there shall be forgiveness of his sins ans emancipation from the fire of Jahanama (Hell), and for him shall be the same reward as for him (whom he fed), without that persons reward being diminished in the least. There upon we said O messenger of Allah, not all of us possess the means where by we can provide ample for a fasting person to break his fast, the messenger of Allah replied: Allah (S. W) grants this same reward to him who gives a fasting person a single date or a drink of water or a sip of milk to break the fasting. This is a month, the first part of which brings Allahs mercy, the middle of which brings emancipation from the fire of Jahanama. Whosoever lessens the burden of his servant in this month Allah will forgive him and free him from the Jahanama. And in this month, four things you should endeavour to perform in great numbers, two of those without which you cannot make do, those which shall be to please your Lord are that you should in great quantity recite Kalimah Attayyibah (Laa liaha illallah). And make much Istigfar (beg for Allah forgiveness). And sa for those two with out which you cannot make do you should beg Allah for entry into paradise and seek refuge with him form the fire of Jahannam. And whosoever gave a person, who fasted water to drink, Allah shall grant him a drink form my fountain such a drink, where after he shall never again feel thirsty until he enter Jannah. Reported by Khuzaimah in his Saheeh. May Allah give us the zeal to follow the ordinances that he so graciously made available to us.
