RANGER LED HIKE-BY-BIKE Palatka-to-St. Augustine State Trail Date: October 6, 2013, 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Description: Bring your bike and join a ranger for a guided ride on the Palatka-to-St. Augustine State Trail (also known as the State Road 207 Rail-Trail). Bike this paved trail while learning about native plants and animals. The trail is in development as a multi-use recreational trail along a corridor that stretches over 19 miles through St. Johns and Putnam counties. The trail runs through agriculture and natural landscapes and features some of Florida’s best wildflowers! The ride will be approximately two miles. Visitors should bring water, sunscreen and bug repellent and children under 16 are required to wear a helmet. The program is free and will begin at Armstrong Park, where parking is available. Armstrong Park is located at 4950 Harvey Ave., Elkton, FL 32033.
