RANT FOR THE DAY.... Not Related (NR) to prepping foods. Why do people think they can live in a neighborhood and think they can just bully everyone else that lives there or try to? Some of you have heard before of my sometime problem with folks moving there vehicles off their property and parking it along my property line in the Cul-De-Suc even though my house faces the other street off the Cul-De-Suc. One lady across the street from me for years had been putting all her vehicles plus her sons junk vehicles lined up along my property line leaving her area nice and clean. Yes even her driveway. Well the long and short of it in the first five years I put a stop to it and told her son would have to come and move his junk cars out of here and if she wanted it here shed have to get him to park it in her double 4 car driveway or in front of her house. She eventually complied and for several years we had no problems until last year her new husband started bringing in his 18 wheeler and parking it along my property line so I nicely put an official letter on his truck to move it or get a ticket. He never parked here again. Recently after my having paid to have official signs stating no parking in between signs which spans the length of my fence down that side on the Cul-De-Suc she has attempted to start parking here again and yesterday she demanded to know from hubby as to why those signs were there and when were they put up. I just happened to come to the front of the house and hearing her I went outside and I told her I had the signs put up and that we had a no on street policy in our subdivisions contracts when we had these houses built which the city required of the builder and reason most of us have a double 4 car parking lot in front of our houses. She starts telling me no one pays attention to that and we do what we want to do. I politely told her I could care less what other residents did in this neighborhood as long as they did it on there property and regarding parking even if they want to park there vehicles on the road as long as they did it along side or in front of there property. She wanted to argue that just because it is a Cul-De-Suc she could park there and I told her no again for two reasons 1) city does not allow for on street parking and required that was in our contracts when we purchased these properties and had homes built on it; 2) no that she cannot come and park in the Cul-De-Suc because her property is no where near or on it and she needs to park on her property or in front of her property on the road if she wants to continue breaking the law. She finally gave in and went back in her house. Ill be darn if I allow anyone to bully me. It seems as years go by folks think they can just move into a neighborhood and take control of the people in it and bully them. Not going to happen on my watch. 3:)
