RANT: Ok…so I don’t even know where to start with this! First off, where does Forbes magazine get the notion they can publish any article about what is cool; isn’t their demographic old men. Also, it seems like they are praising the gentrification that has happened in DC over the past 10 plus years. They never seem to talk about the fact that Washington DC has the highest rate of economic disparity in the US or that it still has no real governmental representation with little self-governance. My favorite quote in this article is at the very end by someone named Gabriel “Cities are expensive in large measure because they’re cool,” REALLY??? Cities are expensive because they used to be cool and full of artist, musicians and creative thinkers until you run them all out of town with soaring rent and a high cost of living. I call bullshit on this article; let me know your thoughts!
