RANT TIME. I was feeling very angry but now its just disappointment now that I have had time to calm down. It really bothers me that my dad went in for a procedure at 1 PM today, had to have nothing by mouth 2 hours before procedure. Well guess what? I pick him up at 730 tonight and he is freezing, hungry and thirsty. Luckily I had left him a sprite because he was never offered food or anything to drink. Even after inquiring about going to get him food I was told he had to have a drs order for a diet. I am very well aware of that being a nurse for 20 years. I didnt wanna be one of those of Im a nurse type of people so I relied on others to take care of my daddy. Well thats not gonna happen again. My dad will never lay in a hospital cold, hungry and thirsty. I cannot wait for the how was our service letter to come in mail. Now I understand why family members sometimes act the way they do; because they know if they dont keep on staff this could happen to their family member. Ok rant over.
