RANT: There is a HUGE difference between a reputable breeder, a puppy mill, and backyard breeding. Working with rescues I have seen all of the above. When you buy a dog at Canton, a pet store, or on craigslist you are contributing to the problem, not rescuing. Accept it, dont justify it. I always suggest adoption, but if that isnt an option for your family, research a licensed AKC breeder. Dont support the bottom feeders who have to show absolutely NO accountability for what they breed and how they house their stock. Please think adoption first, shelters and rescues provide such amazing dogs for generally much less than you will pay for a pet store or puppy mill pet. If you decide to work with a reputable breeder, remember there are no deals on healthy, well bred pups. You get what you pay for and thats why reputable breeders arent advertising on craigslist or selling at swap meets. #adopt #rescue #research
