RATSA Extends Road Tax Payment Period Drivers in Zambia are given a grace period to renew their licences with January 31st the deadline for 2015. Below is the RATSA STATEMENT PRESS STATEMENT ROAD TRANSPORT AND SAFETY AGENCY (RTSA) EXTENDS THE PERIOD FOR PAYMENTS OF ROAD LICENSES (ROAD TAX) FOR 2015 The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has given all motorists and Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Operators a grace period within which they may acquire relevant licenses for the year 2015. The Acting Director and Chief Executive Officer for the Agency, Gladwell Banda announced this in Lusaka today stating that it is evident that motorists and PSV Operators around the country were still in the process of acquiring licenses such as road tax, road service licenses and identity certificates for 2015 when in fact the deadline is 31st December 2014. Taking into consideration the high motorization rate in the country, Mr Banda has noted that the grace period would be for the whole month of January 2015. During this period, no enforcement for the validity of the same licenses will be effected until after the grace period. In view of the foretold, the RTSA, like in the past years, is providing this grace period to accommodate the licensing needs of all motorists. Mr Banda has further appealed to motorists and PSV Operators to utilise this period wisely and comply with legal requirements.
