I am sure your father either alive or dead have not achieve 2% of Prof. Obas achievements. I had wanted to keep silence but to have the record straight i must shed light to certain issues 1. Prof. Oba started his academic career since 1972 and since then he has been helping students and kwara indigenes in kano that cumulated into the massive support given to his candidancy for vcship in unilorin. He got the nomination ticket for the vc base on his track records of hardwork,deligent and good human relation. It is worthy to note that Prof. Oba is a professor of English and not English literature,you missed that bashir akanbi.if he was to be a prof.of English literature your paymaster escapade in kwara is enough to be package for up coming generation to know what a dump fool he was. Countless numbers of students have passed through this noble man and today they are men in their individual position of works. Your pay master never made anybody except his gang of hudlum stealing the state blind. 2. Prof. Oba high level of discipline cannot be compared to anybody today the result of which is the BETTER BY FAR UNIVERSITY of Ilorin.at the time he took over office the university was among 26th-30th position but today the university is the 1st today in Nigeria and 3rd in Africa check the record.You claimed to have graduated from unilorin yet,you said the unversity turn out halfbaked graduates a statement you are also a part of.and this has shown in your approach to issues and your understanding of the true essence of living. 3. Prof. Oba abu schooled here and abroad (uk) where he had his Masters, PhD and PostDoctorate degrees all these involve dessertations which without bias he got.These achievements were the yardstick that earn him HOD,DEAN and evetually DEAN Postgraduate school.Mr.bashir akanbi ask in academic circle who can be dean of postgraduate school? It is an office exclusive for distinguished lecturers and this he held for 8yrs.Many students have passed through this distinguish schorlar each of them must have present dissertation before graduation.Are you saying these works are not publishable or are not published at all.Most papers are not published on net then as we have today. However,it is easy, ask for the cretaria use in selecting vc of universities? I am sure the NUC have their minimum qualification for vcs.His achievements in the university in term of human and infrastructural development is second to none,that was the foundation on which amali and oloyede had to build.Your intellectual blunder is that you dont know that unilorin belong to 3-4 states that serve as catchment areas of the university and as such each must produce vc for the university which they all did. You paymaster did not achieve anything he took over goverment from lawal.All projects executed in his 8yrs were projects initiated by lawal becos he came into power while he was still breast sucking a spoiltbrat.To you bashir since you left school how many people have you being able to use you half baked knowledge to positively affect or change for the better?. You tin god had sold off all kwara state properties and even converted some to personal properties.contracts are executed at highly exobitant prices let me have your facts on the money you claimed prof.took from unilorin.ASUU would have blown the lid if he had touched the universitys money. 4. Prof.Oba sacked lecturers because they deserved to be sacked they were on sabatical leave with pay for periods above 1yrs as stipulated by NUC.he send them a recall letter to resume back to school at a stipulated time which they did not obey.if they were wrongfully saked obasanjo could not re instate them and never queried Prof.?or why was it so difficult for other universities to absorbe them? despite the sympathy they generated all over the country.
