RE WRITE :I did not see you Oh so sorry I did not see you there while I walked by. I was busy walking with my head up in the air looking to the sky I have my parcels in hand ready to go home to greet my life I have no time to worry about your troubles and strife I step into a home all warm and cozy with lights and heat Never thinking about how many hours the pavement you have walked with your weary feet I sit at my table with a bountiful feast Not giving a thought or remembering the man laying hungry and cold in the street Im sorry I did not see you as my car pulled away from the curb I live in a nice part of the suburb You do not belong on our streets so we call the law I did not see you until my mind got the best of me and I made the call I did not see you because it would mean I d have to care I did not see you because what I have I do not want to share I did not see you until they took you away I did not see you the other day I live my life thinking I worked hard for what I have and you have not I forget that you could be the one that stood on battle grounds and fought for what you now have not I did not see you dear veteran who served us well I do not see you living in a man made hell I m sorry I did not see you before it was too late Passed on the cold pavement or in a tent frozen on a cold winters day date I did not see you rise in spirit up above to the sky so high I did not see you as one of the creators lambs that should not have had to this way live and die I make myself see you now for it is in my heart to do so I will make sure I see you and show you love and compassion before I walk by and go Martina Burchill Nov 2013
