RE: hey dad I couldnt find your other e-mail address, so I pulled this one off your work website. Had a really rough past couple days, just wanted to keep you guys in the loop. We had three of our Marines KIA on Friday, one of which being my roommate and really good friend SSgt Stewart. We are all taking it pretty hard right now... They were hit by a really large IED and trapped inside the vehicle for over 2 hours. Once the other Marines could get to them it was too late. We had a Ramp Ceremony late on Friday night and loaded their caskets up onto the airplane. Stewie was by far the most genuine, professional, caring Marine, husband, and father Ive ever had the privilege to serve with and call my friend. I taught him how to talk like a Mainer and since we got here he had been walking around saying wicked pissah and Ayahh all the time. He was an amazing man, and Id love for you guys to keep his family and loved ones in your heats and prayers. Im doing ok out here for now, a little numb and in shock right now. I just wish it all wasnt true. The rest of us out here are trying our best to come together to help each other out, telling funny stories and sharing pictures. I will be ok though. I will try to call you guys soon. I love you Dad, I want you to know that!
