REACT PROJ. 2014 –BUJUMBURA, BURUNDI. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs) Q. Can I still pay for the trip? A. NO. HOWEVER, if you choose to travel privately, please be aware that the organisers won’t be responsible for your stay. Q. How long is the journey? A. The av. Duration of the ride is 16hrs: 12hrs from Kla-Kgl and 4hrs Kgl-Bjra. There is a 5-10min stop in Kigali and then proceed to Bjra Q. What is Bujumbura’s night life like and safety? A. For those who want to hang out, Bjra’s nite life is almost as hyper as Kla’s. The security is also good but you have to move with your passport at all times. Q. What if I want to stay longer than the project dates? A. The official departure from Bjra is on Sunday at 6am. If anyone intends to depart at a later date, they have to arrange that with either the Jaguar Kla or Bjra office in advance. Otherwise there is a group of about 15 Ugandans and Kenyans who opted to stop over in Kigali during the return. Jaguar-Kla has offered has offered to coordinate with their offices in Bjra and Kgl to make your connecting buses smooth. Whoever will be heading this team has to talk to the manager before we depart on Thurday before we depart. NB: Its more costly to connect than paying for a return ticket. Q.Is the Jaguar bus offices the only departure point? A. So far we only have guys from Masaka who will be picked from Total Nyendo. What is the itinerary of the whole trip? A. Departure is Thursday, 7pm. We arrive around noon on Good Friday. We will arrange to go to Bora Bora beach for those who can after lunch and later in the evening hang out till late. On Saturday, the project will start at 10am till around 4pm. We will meet later for official Rotary activities (exchange banners, certificates, choose REACT 2015 host, etc.). Departure for Kampala is 6am on Easter Sunday. Q. What should one carry for the trip? A. Individual: warm clothing, valid ID, Passport, beach wear Clubs: Club pull-up banner, Exchange banners Sponsors: Company fliers, Pull-up banner
