READ CAREFULLY WHAT I AM SAYING. in the movie 12 Years A Slave. A man was illegally kidnapped a sold into slavery. He was VERY EDUCATED, spoke very articulately, a well traveled individual, a father and a husband. In Slavery days you could be KILLED for being to educated, because were not supposed to be this according to the slave owners. I find it very ironic that in 2013, of which African Americans are free to go to school and get as much knowledge and education as we want to take on, the first people that tear you down for doing so are who Black People. You go to a suburb school, you aint from the hood. Why you talking white, (Proper English I call it). Why you trying to go to college, you know how to slam dunk or score a touchdown. Sports will get you out the hood. I could care less how Im viewed, I will raise my son to speak proper English. To be the best he can be, HE will be encouraged to go to college, an elite one if I had my choice. He will respect his mate no matter what race she may be, and he will be a productive citizen to this world in the most positive way, and for those who may say he aint black enough for you thats fine, but this is why youll be referring to him as YOUR BOSS IN THE CORPORATE WORLD, because hell be pushed to bring out his best potential!!!
