READ MY TEARS BE GRATEFUL Deborah stretched on the 10 spring bed as she yawned her way into this beautiful Sunday morning. The morning sun had started filtering its beam through the window curtain of the private room in Central Hospital. She was shocked when her eyes saw an intravenous fluid fixed to her skin. A slim nurse in her white uniform, writing what she didnt know in a green file was by the bed. Her eyes scanned the room. And she sat up abruptly What am I doing here? She spluttered as her head ached in her outburst. The nurse turned to her Thank God you are awake. You had an accident last night and were rushed here by a good Samaritan. Youve been unconscious since last night. The nurse covered the file I gat to go tell the doctor you are awake. She dashed out of the ward. Deborah looked at her body. A plaster was on her right hand. A bandage on her left leg. She was feeling pains on her waist. She fixed her eyes on the IV fluid that is emptying into her body and tears streamed down her face as she whispered Father in Heaven, you promised in Psalm 121:8 that you will watch over my coming in and my going out. You promised also in Deuteronmy 28:6 that when I come in, I will be blessed and when I go out, I will be blessed. You promised you will not allow my feet to be dashed on a stone. You promised me good health and prosperity. You promised to wqatch over me Father. Father, why did you allow me to wake up on a wrong bed? Why did you allow me to be involved in an accident? Father why? Have you forgotten your promises? Have you forgotten? Not knowing the doctor was standing close to her, eavesdropping her loud thoughts. The good looking physician, with a stethoscope on his neck, wearing a white laboratory coat on top of his thick striped white long sleeved shirt on a black denim Next jeans, he felt her temperature with the back of his palm and said Be grateful my sister. Some woke up on more wrong beds than this hospital bed. Some woke up in prison bed this morning. Some woke up in their death bed to face judgment of the Lord this morning. Some woke up with chains on their hands and foot in Psychiatric homes. So be grateful you woke up alive and complete. The same accident that you survived, was one that took the lives of 4 persons. Not that you are better or the only one loved by God among them. So be thankful. God loves you Shocked to the bones, she looked at the doctor as he disengaged the finished drip from her body. PRAYER POINT Father in heaven, I am grateful for your love and grace upon me and my family. Amen. S. Maka
