READ THE CAPTION! Apparently this quote is an example of how religion should embrace modernity by admitting that it is not, in fact, stemming from the guidance of He who created the heavens and the earth. Alhamdulillah as a Muslim, I can say, In every case in history in which science has contradicted Islam, Islam turned out to be right. Or, Every detailed, scientific claim made by the Quran that has been empirically tested has proven to be true. From the origin of the universe and life itself, the foundation and structure of the earth and atmosphere, to the orbiting of planets in solar systems, Allah who has created all and knows his creation has spoken the truth in the Quran. We are merely catching up and understanding the depths of His creation in our (Islamically encouraged/led) pursuit of science. Based on their historic comparative record, I can say with confidence that If science appeared to disagree with a claim made in the Quran, double check your data :p
