READ THIS... Malaysian Police The Licensed Killers..??? Waythamoorty Missing..??? How will Malaysia stand tall amongst the developed countries in the world if our police are becoming murderers? This is a very disturbing and embarrassing issue as the world is scrutinizing the happenings in Malaysia. There was 3 custodial death in 11 days which indicates police force are failing dramatically. Normal person die of illness the moment they are brought into to lock-up. Malaysians are either too naïve or completely brainless to accept these creative stories. Police Lock-up had become death cell and police became uniformed gangsters? People who violate the law should be brought to court for judgment and no police has the authority to kill detainees. This irresponsible action caused such grief and hardship to many families and leaving them in the dark not knowing what is the future holds for them in this country. It has been days of long wait in agony and desperation since the brutal killing of Dharmendran at police custody. Finally to acknowledge plight, 3 police officers out of 4 were charged with murder and 1 “missing”. Why wait for families and public scream their heart out for justice before an action is taken? Why didn’t the accused police officers be suspended on the very first instance of the incident when there are obvious injuries on the victim’s body and sufficient evidence available? Are police the licensed killers in Malaysia? It is a murder case and suspects need to be remanded immediately and kept in prison without bail. Do we have different law for the ordinary citizen and the police? Why the head of the accused officers were covered when they are brought to the court? What is the evidence that they are the accused and not some innocent illegal immigrant loitering by road side brought in to cover up the real culprits? We therefore suggest that the accused police officer’s images and identity to be exposed in public to assure that the government “WILL WALK THE TALK” this time. We have heard too many similar killings in the pass yet to hear any police or authorities hanged for murder. Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah initially claimed Dhamendran died due to “breathing difficulties”. We demand KU CHIN WAH to face imprisonment for covering up the murder. Why he is not charged for giving false information and tarnishing image of PDRM? Government should impose heavier punishment on authorities regardless of their rank for violating the law instead of carrying their duties abide by law and guard the peace of the nation. Next highlight is the M.I.C.President, G.Palanivel who supposedly care for indian’s welfare has no obligation towards Indian community instead acting deaf and dump simply because M.I.C has no voice at the BN let government. Where is the newly appointed Minister P. Waythamoorthy? What are the plans he has made to soothe the situation? Honeymoon time is over and it is time to wake up and start his duty as a newly elected Minister who also represents his community. The community looking forward for the Indian based parties to pressure the government n home ministry to eliminate the custodial death. How can the parties be the protector of Indian community if they can’t change the faith of Indian detainees. Since the appointment of new Home Minister, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, we noticed apparent increase of custodial deaths in the country. This reflects his incapability and he is incompetent to be in the current ministry. If he is unable to get to the bottom of the matter, than he should get prepared to pass the baton to someone who is well fitted to run the administration efficiently and devoted for the benefit of Rakyat. Consequently we propose the police to be answerable to the parliament instead of home ministry if there is any more custodial killing in future. Prime Minister Datuk Sri Najib Tun Razak who showered the Indian community with lots of concern and sensitive to their needs before the GE-13 is surprisingly staying in silence although matter is getting critical. This is not just about Indian being killed by police but there are also Malays and Chinese had similar faith with authorities. This is not just Indian’s dilemma but its “Malaysian’s dilemma. As a result, rakyat should get united in standing for justice and protect each other from the cruelty of authorities. We urge the Prime Minister to step forward and give special attention to conclude the investigation fast and give us a glimmer of hope that our predicament will soon end with a positive outcome. Persatuan Kebajikan Dan Sosial Gemilang (NGO) urge the newly appointed Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and authorities to look into the matter seriously and to make an action plan to end the police custodial killing immediately. Any death in police custody in future must be examined and certified by a Forensic Pathologist without prejudice. No stones should be left unturned and justice must prevail. Too many discussions and forums on the above matter promising for a better nation but end of the day birds of same colony flogs together and the brutal killing continues freely for many years now. Since the GE-13 is over, about time to stop preaching that you care for Indians. Please show concern in practice as action speaks louder than words. We sincerely hope that all parties will come to a decision instantly and that compassion guides their motives although it may seem out of date these days.
