REAL LIFE STORIES BROUGHT TO YOU BY AUDREY AND FARUKAI Her father says she was a mistake because he never loved her mum after all and that was a crisis in making. But we are encouraged when she says, I may have been an accident in my fathers life, but not so in Gods divine plan. So the father never took responsibility and till now when she is 24, she does not exist in his life. Things even got even worse when he remarried. He completely scratched her from his life. Her mum tried to provide for her as best as she could under those circumstances. But as the devils fate would have it for her, when her mum remarried, hell broke loose. She was 12 then and in form 2. Her step father would not take her in. No!!!! He would only take her mum and she had to go elsewhere. So at that point, things began to make a free fall for the worst. She had to leave a group A school in Bulawayo and go home/kumusha to complete O level. For the next three years, she fought the odds and obtained 5 O level passes including an A in English Language in two sittings. Not a mean feat at given her circumstances we must confess. Because of her exposure to a group A school, remarkable command of English and urban looks for a rural girl, prowling hyenas soon closed in. At 17 she eloped to a newly graduate teacher, soon to be a father to a girl who he never wanted to have anything to do with. From now on seems she was destinied to relive her own mothers sad life. Ever heard or the vicious circle. This seems to be one of the but thank God, Jesus can make a breakthruogh for us. After 1 year 9 months in that marriage she left. It had been hell on earth according to her description. It was too late to regret. She then took up employment on a farm as an Administration clerk. Good job title with no salary for a year. She left for another farm, of a relation this time. With promises to further education but after 8 months of false promises she again quit. The stories of employment repeated themselves and we can go on and on and on. In the meantime her maternal grandmother with whom she lived in the rural area died and her uncles asked all children who stayed with her to leave and stay with their families. She had nowhere to call home. No where saint! Home for her was where she was every moment. Thats all she knew as home. Meanwhile her daughter had to stay with the former husband who by now had remarried and the step mother was/is not comfortable looking after the alien. But there is nowhere else for the poor soul to go. She has to feel wanted at home. What a cruel world. Even as you read this story, she is under that roof where she is an unwanted intruder. Oh no!! February this year we met Kundai, (not her real name) on the whatsapp chats. We were referred to her because she needed counselling. She was not an easy case as she had given up and had become suicidal. We also almost gave up because her case bordered on the edge od hopelessness. Where would we begin putting it together. What would we say to her? She was so cornered by life and had no other option but to go and stay with her mother and stepfather. The home tension was high and her mother got the brand of it all. Kundai and her daughter Anelka (not real name now lived lives under roofs where it was obvious they were not welcome. What was there to live for? Saints these are real life stories where you feel you cannot encourage because the situation would be better of being a movie. But how do you go to bed when a young mother is waiting for a word of hope from you while she has termite poison by her side out there. We thank God she is still alive and living everyday with Jesus as the center of her heart. We gave her hope by Gods grace and this August she got employed. She gets enough for her feminine needs but cant afford to rent a room so she can take Anelka in with her. But her hear is with Anelka the daughter. Anelka is now in grade 1 but life is not easy for her staying with a stepmother We talked to someone who runs a private boarding school and he agreed to take Anelka in as a border if she could pay the tuition only. She will be exempted from paying boarding fees and can even stay over the holidays. We are grateful for this very generous offer and we dont doubt it a prayer answered. But we still need the tuition and uniforms. Anelkas father is excited to get her out from under his roof but wont contribute anything towards either uniforms and tuition. As a couple, we have made a pledge of $100 per term towards the tuition of Anelka. She needs S350 more per term. We have no doubt some people will join us in making sure Anelka gets to this safe home. If anyone wants to contribute the can visit us on our usual interaction chat line 0774073283. We can give them the school banking details. Meanwhile, Kundai the mother wants to purse O level Mathematics. So that she can pursue further education and fulfil her dreams. She has tremendous potential but her current employment wont give her time to go to either weekend or night school. Of course that will come later after getting the beautiful Anelka into a safe environment. When we took Kundai to the school so that she could appreciate our dream for Anelka and to meet the director of the school, she was all tear when she heard the offer. But that offer is just a little too near and yet out of grasp. How cruel life can be. THATS A TRUE REAL LIFE STORY FOR YOU SAINTS for this week. We love to share these stories with you not so much because you can give financially towards the needful, no. Its not about money all the time. We share them with you so that you can be inspired and like Kundai be able to say, I may be mistake in the life of my father or family, but I am not a mistake in the divine eyes. I have a purpose in life and I will not rest till I get it accomplished by Gods grace. We await you in chat +263774073283. Your friends Audrey and Farukai.
