REAL THROWBACK – OLD NJDR COMMUNIST ARTICLE; The Good, Bad and the Ugly by Danny Serrano aka: The Allentown Pimp (Webmasters Note: Articles may have been edited before published. The views expressed below do not reflect that of New Jersey Dirt Racing.) My Thoughts on this past weekend - 8/18/2002 East Windsor seems like its just getting by. Brightbill, Hoffman, Horton, and Pauch are keeping them going. It seems to many that they will try and do anything not to race anymore. The excuses are old. Threat of rain, muddy parking lot, no water, and the others Ive heard over the years. If you have a drainage problem in your parking lot then fix the problem like most tracks would. Your crowd is down because no one has faith that youre even gonna run that night. Run watcha brungs, they are the worse for me. Its a joke that youd make people show up to run them because it offers double points. If we want sprints well go to the Grove or any where else. People should get a refund back for sitting there on Friday for an hour and a half watching the drivers ruin their cars because of the problems with the track. No mod heats thats what we paid to see a whole show not a partial one. Im getting upset just writing this and remembering what happened Friday. You just did a good thing and then this. Just do everyone a favor and correct these short comings. We need to make our plans for next year. East Windsor has great side by side racing and thats all they have. If youve never been there before youd say the place is lacking now. I guess were just used to our speedway. Ive been to 52 race tracks in my life and have only seen 2 without a scoreboard or lap counter. Yup youre one of them. You need to tend to some rotting wooden boards and loudspeaker system. Youre lucky the modifieds raced on that track Friday, cause they really shouldnt have. Why so they can ruin their $30,000 cars. Please! I have talked to several people in the last 2 days and they agree. We work hard all week and have families. We dont need any more aggravation to deal with. Enough said. As for Billy The Kid Pauch, they hit the nail right on the head. Hes a kid a 45 year old kid. Ive been putting up with him for 25 years. Even though I dont like him Ive bent over backwards to give him the credit he deserves, but if hes gonna act like he did Saturday, Im not gonna give him anything. Every week Billy does win at New Egypt. The race to the scale that is. He needs to be the first one there every week and then proceeds to spin his tires creating dust and rocks that may go onto the scale. When rocks go under the scales they get screwed up. Then he gets on the mic and says its easy to win when you start up front. Those guys earned the right to start there. Money earned remember. You were literally handed the championship in 99 by those two extra weeks, but its harder to win it now. 595 or however many wins you have is great. You need to be one helluva driver to do that. But if we list your big or important wins, I cant think of more than 20 wins and Im being generous. Brett Hearn has more than 150 important wins. You are not on his level yet. Yeah you can run a sprint car and asphalt but Im talking about dirt modifieds. You must like racing these other things to compensate. I think Hearns won Syracuse more times then youve even been there. I used to get angry when you didnt come out for your podium finish at New Egypt because I think its rude and childish, but its probably better that way if youre gonna complain about the track not to your liking or lapped cars in your way or were people start. Its getting old and boring Billy, just suck it up and take it like a man not a kid. How about the time when you were behind Slocum in points going into the final night and they decided to make it triple points because you were too far in back with double points. It is a joke and we are all tired of it. Youre living off your one big win at Syracuse with the Outlaws. But guess what you beat Blaney and look where he is now. My point exactly. If youre gonna be the best you gotta run with the best never mind beat them. As for Big Ron and Rob Pierce. I dont care if Im boring to you or anyone else. I hope nobody likes me just like my man Iverson, we thrive on being the outcasts and not being liked. If you know what I look like then step up. I have no clue what you look like. Im at Darrens every week dude. Come and talk to me. I have nothing to say to you. Speaking of boring. Watching you run in last at 2 tracks a week is getting real boring. You sound like a big fat racist, who cant even race a car. As for Rob, I have since talked to Jimmy Blewett 3x, and hes very anxious to meet you. Hed like your phone # or somewhere to reach you and hes even given me permission to give you his cell #. Im dead serious and Im pretty sure hell be at the Stewart show on Thursday, will you? Between East Windsor, Billy Pauch, and you two jerks, its a very shitty weekend. You guys probably take the cake over the other two issues Ive enlightened you on. As for Windsor Im maybe done with them this year. But Ill be at New Egypt so if youd like to voice an opinion feel free. By the way there was really no good to report this weekend other then Pauch continued his losing streak.
