REASON #596 that you should consider donating toward my book - TopicsExpress

REASON #596 that you should consider donating toward my book campaign, and that this book is NOT just for widowed people. Its for ALL people. Case in point; this beautiful note I received this morning in my Inbox, from a former Adelphi student of mine who wishes to remain anonymous. Thank you so much for these words. It means so much: Hey Kelley, Ive been a follower of yours (Facebook version, not cult leader type) since I graduated from Adelphi and just noticed your book contributions page so I donated what I could hoping you will reach your goal. I can remember when I took your class during the time your wedding occurred and distinctly recall how thrilled and happy you were about Don and your upcoming future. While you allowed all your students the privilege of getting to know you and your personality on a personal level (which so many teachers these days fail to do and make the education process more like a strict job) Ive been able to see how youve changed and progressed in the wake of your tragic loss. My reasons for donating are more selfish however, due to the fact that when I read your posts and get a glimpse into the hurdles, obstacles, and what some people might see as unfortunate circumstances that you have encountered over the last few years, and then see how you take on those hurdles head on and with a laugh, I cannot do anything but feel inspired. Too many people these days wallow in their day to day issues without experiencing real loss. When I see you doing comedy shows, bringing a light hearted moment for someone who had lost their everything, moving into new homes, or taking on this challenge of writing a book ,it helps me take a look at my life or whatever difficult situation I may be in and find the inspiration to make something good and productive out if it. If Kelley Lynn can do it with a smile and a laugh I certainly can work through whatever bullshit that might come my way. In no way am I comparing the everyday ups and downs I encounter to what you or others with loss have dealt with, however I wanted you to know that your writings and outlook can inspire anyone in any scenario on how to cope, deal, and then make something positive come out if it. I wish you nothing but the best in hopes that your book campaign reaches its goal and can help others. Thank you for teaching me in the classroom but thank you even more for continuing to teach and inspire me outside of it.. If thats not a GREAT reason to donate, I dont know what is. Awesome. https://indiegogo/projects/kelley-lynn-s-my-husband-is-not-a-rainbow-the-official-2014-book-launch/x/5693789
