REASON FOR INTERNAL STRIKE IN FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ADO EKITI Committee constitution ed to resolve the query by National Salaries, Income and wages Commission on CONTISS 15 Migration: The Committee held its meeting without recourse to the union as resolved at the meeting with House of Representative Committee on Education. Other stakeholders including the regulatory bodies of NBTE and NCCE were invited with the exclusion of the unions (ASUP & COEASU). Information available to the union is that the committee concluded its work and resolved as follows: Issue of migration in civil service is alien and illegal because it amounts to blanket promotion. That government was ill advised to implement CONTISS 15 migration. That the entire exercise be reversed including the earlier one implemented for the senior cadres. That concession be given to refund of monies so far paid as result of the implementation. That government be advised appropriately not to set precedence for future reference . Signed. RESOLUTION The Resolution was that the strike should continue indefinitely until: -The Management paid back 250 million na ira only, it owned Cooperative Societies. -Those de-migrated should be migrated back.
