REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD LIVE A PURPOSEFUL LIFE (LESSONS FROM ESAU’S LIFE (Gen. 25:30-34)) 1. Where purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable: When people don’t know the purpose of a thing, it is abused. 2. Where purpose is not known, opportunities are wasted: Many have lost several opportunities in life because of they do not understand the purpose of their existence. 3. Where purpose is not known, value is never appreciated: If you really know why God created you and why you are alive, there is a sense of personal value and self respect that you attach to your life. 4. Where purpose is not known, profit is never accessed and losses are inevitable (Heb. 12:16-17): The more purposeful you are, the more profitable you will be to God, yourself and to your generation 5. Where purpose is not known, time is wasted (Gen. 27:30): If you don’t plan your life, people will plan it for you and you may not like it at the end. COUNSELS: 1. Absolutely refuse to live a life of no purpose 2. Do all you can to arrive at the understanding of God’s purpose for your life
