#REBECCAJINGO TRIED TO STAB #JOELISABIRYE There is a police case filed at Najjeera police post on reference SD 07/24/2014/ Domestic violence/attempted murder and attempted arson filed against Rebecca Jjingo by her husband Joel Isabirye on Friday 25th oct. The case details were entered by Officer Jerome Arinaitwe. It states that “this morning [Friday] Mrs. Rebecca JJingo Isabirye attempted to stab her husband with a knife and also to set their house ablaze.The actions of the accused took place after a quarrel between the two that started on Monday. Spouse Joel Isabirye in that quarrel claimed that when he was getting married to Rebecca Jjingo they agreed that she would balance her time as an artiste and as a wife/mother. In their agreement, Jjingo was never to get out for shows from Monday to Thursday. From Friday to Sunday she was free. Jjingo agreed to do so. They agreed that she would be back home between 5 and 6pm on the days without shows. For the last 12 weeks she has been coming back at 2am from Monday to Sunday, without explaining where she was yet it was evident there were no shows on those days” the report reads. “On Monday Isabirye called the house to order and demanded that she must come back by 6pm from Monday to Thursday, prompting Jjingo to abuse him for hours. At about 9 minutes past 12 midnight (the wee hours of Tuesday morning) she got a knife at night to secretly stab him but the maid one Barbara Alituwa walked into her sharpening the knife in the kitchen.She abandoned the plan.” The report further reads that “this morning (Friday) Rebecca Jjingo found that her wedding ring had gone missing. She searched the whole house and could not find it. She put the blame of Isabirye and demanded for her ring. Isabirye said he had no idea where it was and thought she threw it away in anger after their quarrel. Jjingo got incensed and locked the front door of the house stating that Isabirye would not leave until he handed over the ring. Isabirye who was dressed for work then rushed through the back kitchen door with Jjingo in hot pursuit. She picked a knife along the way and followed him outside the house. Seeing that she could not catch up with him she threw the knife like an arrow and it struck the back of his shoe as he was dashing out of the gate. She followed and picked a bunch of stones and hurled them at him in the process knocking the windscreen of a car that was dropping children at a nearby school. Isabirye ran the race of his life and was only rescued by a cruising boda boda which took him to an unknown destination. When Jjingo walked back into the house she ordered the maid Barbara to lock up front and back doors. Jjingo then got a match box and lit a match stick and started burning a cloth to set the whole house ablaze. Police rushed to the scene to arrest the situation as Jjingo fled on a boda boda to her work place at Beat FM.The maid claims this is the third attempt by Jjingo to stab Isabirye, the first having been in February this year over another unknown issue.”
