RECALL...When Nigerians were protesting the increase of pump price of PMS (PETROL) in Ojota, Lagos...governments New Year Gift about years ago. Pastor Tunde Bakare shouted and warned Christopher Kolade not to accept the (SUREP) job offered him by the government. Bakare told us and those who cared to listen that there was no money for Kolade to spend because the government had already spent the money. Most people saw the the Pastor representing his own party at the rally. Nigerians hate the truth and that is why we have not moved as a nation. Why should most of our Professors and respected Nigerians take a job that you know will bring shame to all youve laboured for. I am not surprised that Dr. Kolade is quitting but for ever taking the job at all despite the warning by Pastor Bakare. Late Chinua Achebe refused the National Honour Award offered him twice because of his vision and belief. Even in death...he is a household name. LET US WAKE UP AS A PEOPLE SO THAT NIGERIA CAN MOVE FORWARD.
