RECAP March 18th Meeting : Everything happens for a reason. On Tuesday, Izzy and I led Action Club’s 118th Meeting to support Ivans business meeting in Panama. Make it rain homie! Looking forward to hearing all about it. Now onto a bigger realization. In working together, we all win! Two new members joined the club! What, what! Jaime Rivera and Virginia A Jimenez Jaime Rivera, just like Gd, aspires to become an actor. Seeking employment, he moved to Miami from North Carolina 10 months ago! Determined to forge a new frontier, he crashed on his friend’s couch until he was able to start work. What a bold move, such courage and such determination! Go Jaime! Life has a funny way of pushing us to our destiny because now he is considering doing it all over again in pursuit of his ultimate dream. Let’s welcome Jaime! Speaking of dreams, Virginia a.k.a VJ a.k.a as my cousin is our second new member and she has always dreamnt of having her own blog. And guess what—she too pushed on through and made it happen despite a full time career and mother of two. See it here: Virginia’s blog sparkyourmind.wordpress Her goal is to submit an inspirational entry once a week. Check out this amazing post she wrote on my grandfather who may rest R.I.P “A Tribute to Osiris”. Her last sentence reads, “Marvel at the clouds and remember that you are here alive and full of life. This moment is a gift.” And a gift it is my VJ! Action Club reminds us that living the life of our dreams is a choice. We discuss our goals, action plans and bucket list fantasies and hold each other accountable for making them real. We are a family of dreamers and achievers! Which takes me to my next point. When we first came to Action Club, Izzy and I had the same goal: GTFO of Miami, lol and travel abroad. Well, peeps, the time has come. Izzy will be traveling to Brazil to fulfill her long time dream of being closer to nature, living and working on a farm. Her WWOOF application was accepted!! She is leaving Summer 2014. Way to go Izzy! And talking about leaving--- this person---who brings these very words to you today is finally leaving on her trip to the DR. Yup my people, it’s time for graduation! Bring out the caps and gowns! I leave Sunday, April 6th! My decision to relocate to the DR bridges two major goals: Travel & Fitness/ Health. As stated in my vision board, 2014 is the year of Transformation for me. As I set to forge new frontiers in my life and confront the unknowns, I know the following are certain in my life: nature heals me, simplicity centers me, culture and diversity inspires me, and the love of my family and friends nourishes me. Like Dynamo on his Panama trip, I don’t feel fully ready to leave, however, I reason that that time may never come. Life is happening right here, right now. I choose NOW. I’m making the leap… See you all Tuesday. With my deepest love, Your Glennis
