RECRUITING: I am enjoying making poppies so much. But it would be lovely if I could do it with friends. I managed to introduce the Project to some knitters yesterday, but my Machine Embroidery friends arent quite so enthusiastic. Im wondering how to attract them ... any ideas? Perhaps I could host a bring your own machine party and feed them with treats while we all sew ??? Ive negotiated an excellent price for the designs for them; perhaps I should also offer to supply the stabilizer and thread ... or would they like me to stitch the poppies out for them as well? Trying hard not to feel defeated here. Just because I am so keen, doesnt mean my friends have to be also. I must admit when I first heard of the Project I thought Who, me? but I managed to talk myself into getting involved. Oh well ... Ive made 24 ... I guess Ill just keep plugging away.
