RED LETTERS…believing the fine print “16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” #2timothy3 Every time a prescription is given out or coupons are being used, there’s always some fine print. That has caused problems because sometimes if the writing is too small on a product, or a pharmacist doesn’t go over the instructions, the customer is left feeling cheated when something happens. Ironically, most translations (if not all) of the Holy Bible have areas of fine print laid out, written by the manufacturer of the Word. And we get to see the words of Jesus, our Doctor and Pharmicist, if you will, printed in regular size font on red letters. Yet there seems to be more of a “dissatisfied” customer reaction to those in and outside of the church, no matter the translation. If you’re a Christian, doesn’t that bother you? Yes there may be times you may not always grasp or understand where Jesus was coming from, and most may not know how the red letters make sense. Honestly, is there a Scripture text you don’t understand? Is anything Jesus said seem obscure or narrow in its application? SHARE Scripture in red letters that you have struggled with, and questions you may have about them. #redletters #whatdoesjesussay #resound247 ow.ly/i/6nYqd
