REFERENDUM MY FOOT When James Madison said “It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood.”......I agree. It is towards the same that I tend to share my sentiments. First, Kenyans have not even read the Constitution leave alone comprehending it! Two, referendum is set to take the citizenry back to the campaign mode; we are tired of those shit dudes Three, the fact that IEBC did not credibly carry out the elections do not mean that the Presidential system is flawed. In my view, we need to put up right legislation to strengthen the system Four, Kenyans and especially the youth are more concerned with social problems and solving unemployment issues & dwindling opportunities in the country than every time being dragged into politics Five, the country is so divided that no noble undertaking will receive the necessary impetus to get accomplished; so leaders should, in my view, spend more time uniting people than haggling aimlessly. Six, Eight, how many times are the people going to be subjected to gridlocks and trade-offs which accompany constitutional debates? Where is the money to undertake another referendum? Why was that money not used to pay teachers? lecturers? increase students helb? pay nurses and doctors? Lastly the constitution is not written to massage the EGO of an individual. Our dislike for the President or the Jubilee government should not be quash our minds. Did I not hearthat DEMOCRACY is the RULE by MAJORIY!! WITH THE 7 REASONS AT 9 AM A BEG TO REJECT ANY CALL FOR REFERENDUM!! I REST MY CASE
