REMEMBER THE POST ABOUT OUR FRIEND, TAMIKA POWELL??? She and her husband Cliff, are up at Vanderbilt for her 5th round of Chemo. They found out earlier today some awesome news!!! Ive cried tears of joy for this precious family since I read Cliffs post earlier today:) I have copied & pasted the best part below:) Thank you so much for purchasing Krispy Sticks, dropping your loose change or spare cash, and praying for them as they have fought this battle! If you havent made it by to get your delicious treat, we currently have 3 Krispy Sticks left and I will be making a fresh batch tomorrow evening! Heres Cliffs post: This morning I was woken to the sound of Tamikas CRNPs voice. The exact words that I heard at the moment my ears registered any noise in the room at all was the news we have been anticipating. Tamika, the PET scan shows the mass has shrunk tremendously. What is left is dead with no signs of active cancer cells in you at all. It now is a matter of time before the remaining mass dissipates. This is the best alarm clock I have ever heard! Thank you Jesus!!! Thank you all for Praying hard and speaking Life throughout our journey. You have been faithful servants of God and one amazing support team for us. We still have this round and one more to complete and we can chalk this up as a loss for the enemy. It feels wonderful to be stomping on the devils head today. Though we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, it is not within reach quite yet. Over the next six weeks, Tamika will still be feeling the side effects of the chemo treatments and I am still searching for that job that lines up with our needs so please be in prayer for both. Also, continue to pray for my book to find a way into a publishers hands as I have completed the manuscript and to self publish costs money that I just cannot spend at this time. I trust God will open up the doors for this at the time that He knows is right. I will continue to post updates on here throughout the next few months and over the next five years when Tamika completes her biannual PET scans.
