REMINDER!!!! Lakes of Fire Volunteer Appreciation Ticket Sales ends in 23 hours!! Sales for these tickets end tomorrow at 12 p.m. (ETZ) Eastern Time Zone. (This is 11 a.m. for under caffeinated Chicago & Illinois folks.) If people are having issues with purchasing their tickets, these are the three most common purchasing issues YOU should know about: 1 --If there are issues with your code, make sure you are not just cutting and pasting the code into Brown Paper Tickets. When people cut and paste, LOTS of people end up copying a space into the password that makes the password wrong. Write down the password and type it in. 2 -- If you are trying to use their PayPal account, make sure that is in order BEFORE you go through the ticket purchasing process. That way, you do not get stalled in PayPal with their tickets. If people are just planning to process their payment with a credit card, they can do so without creating a PayPal account. 3 -- On a similar vein... If you run into trouble later in their purchase in the Brown Paper Tickets process OR when they got to PayPal, close out of both and come back in 15 minutes to start over again. The BPT system gives purchasers a 15-minute window for the transactions to happen. After that time, BPT times out the transaction. Often a mistake with PayPal might create confusion with BPT. Take a breather, come back in 15-20 minutes and try again. After tomorrow, any remaining tickets will roll into the main ticket sales on Wednesday evening and Saturday morning. We want volunteers to buy the tickets they deserve. Once the clock runs out thats it. Do not forget! Purchase your ticket NOW and email [email protected] with any issues AFTER you try to resolve the problem with of the three commonly made mistakes listed above. Finally, please, a helpful reminder to all that Jorge and I have day jobs and troubleshooting at the last minute tomorrow is going to be next to impossible. People who wait until 11:30 a.m. ETZ to make their purchases are likely going to be SOL for with any last minute problems. Sorry, its just reality. We are both trying to be good about responding as much as possible in real time but tomorrow is going to be really hard if the paying gig demands our attention.
